Not all red stains or Kool Aid carpet stains can be gotten out. The longer the stains set in
the carpet the more difficult the red carpet stains are to remove. The following suggestions
for removing kool aid and other red stains involves heat transfers. Red wine stains, see

Heat transfers of red stains and kool aid stains requires using a steam iron and very
damp white paper towels or clean white clothes.
A product we have used over the last 11 years is called Red Relief a very effective red stain
and kool aid stain remover. It is easy to use and has very good instructions. It may be
purchased locally at most carpet cleaning supply stores.

An alternative to Red Relief is mixing 5 to 6 drops of  the original blue Dawn dish washing
detergent in 2 cups of warm water. Apply the mixture to a clean white cloth setting the cloth
over the red stain. Placing a steam iron set on low over the cloth, allowing the iron to set
on the cloth for 15 minutes.  The wet heat removes red stains transferring the kool aid
stain into the cloth. Caution, do not rub the iron or press down, doing so may damage the
carpet.
It may take several applications to fully remove red stains and remove kool aid stains. Not
all red and kool aid stains come out 100%, however at the very least this process will
considerably lighten the stains.
